NAPLES, Fla. - Floridant -- Sunshine Ace Hardware will hold a monthlong fundraiser in April to generate awareness and support for Children's Miracle Network.
This year's Spring Round Up runs from April 1 to 30 at Sunshine Ace Hardware stores across Southwest Florida. Customers can round up their purchases or choose a specific dollar amount to donate at the cash register.
"Southwest Florida residents and visitors are known for their generosity, but as the region's event season winds down, nonprofits still need our support," said Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware. "Children get sick or injured year round, and the money we raise during the Spring Round Up supports pediatric health care initiatives through the summer and beyond."
Donations made at Sunshine Ace Hardware stores in Collier, Lee and Charlotte counties support Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida. Donations at Sunshine Ace Hardware in Pinellas County and Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware stores in Manatee County support Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg. Both hospitals are affiliated with Children's Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization that helps cover the costs of patient services for children and families, charitable care for patients lacking sufficient funds or insurance, and education programs for patients, families and the community. Donations also allow hospitals to purchase life-saving equipment and provide advancement services for innovative programs and projects.
