FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc. (KLCB) proudly hosted its 34th Annual Rudy Busch GO GREEN Golf Tournament on Friday, October 23, 2026, at The Club at Gateway. The annual fundraiser brought together golfers, local businesses, and community supporters for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and giving back, all in support of KLCB's mission to protect and beautify Lee County.
The tournament was a tremendous success, thanks to the generosity of sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and community partners. Proceeds will support KLCB's environmental education, litter prevention, and beautification initiatives throughout Lee County.
Named in honor of Rudy Busch, who served as KLCB's Executive Director for 25 years, the tournament celebrates his legacy of environmental stewardship and dedication to keeping Lee County clean, green, and beautiful.
For more than 35 years, Keep Lee County Beautiful has worked to inspire, educate, and engage residents in protecting the local environment. In 2025 alone, KLCB's efforts resulted in more than 27,000 pounds of litter and debris removed, 300 trees and 1,225 mangroves planted, and more than 25,000 individuals reached through environmental education initiatives. These accomplishments demonstrate the lasting impact of community involvement and the importance of fundraising events like the GO GREEN Golf Tournament.
