Analysis of 14,079 Instagram posts finds major differences in media value, content productivity and market-adjusted performance across the ECHL.
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - Floridant -- PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - RallyPoint, the sports content intelligence platform from King Tide Technology Partners, has released its 2025-26 ECHL Instagram Content Economics League Benchmark Report, an independent analysis of 14,079 public Instagram posts across 29 ECHL teams.
The analysis found significant differences in how teams converted Instagram activity into estimated media value.
Cincinnati Cyclones ranked No. 1 in estimated media value at approximately $416,700, followed by the Utah Grizzlies at $217,400 and the Greensboro Gargoyles at $130,700.
Utah led the league in content productivity at 3.23x, meaning the team generated an estimated $3.23 in media-equivalent value for every $1.00 of modeled production cost. Cincinnati ranked second in productivity at 3.01x, followed by Orlando at 2.59x.
Across the full 29-team cohort, RallyPoint estimated $2.07 million in Instagram media value against $2.22 million in modeled production cost. Only eight teams reached or exceeded 1.00x productivity under the report's base-case assumptions.

The report also found that market size materially changed competitive position. Wheeling ranked 13th in total estimated media value but moved to second when value was adjusted for DMA television households. Rapid City ranked 26th in total value but sixth after market-size adjustment.
RallyPoint also measured potential upside within content teams had already published. Below-benchmark posts represented an estimated $189,300 in additional media value if performance reached peer-median levels and $684,400 at the upper-quartile benchmark.
"Teams compete on the ice every night, but they are also building valuable media inventories every day," said Marc Kaelin of King Tide Technology Partners. "The interesting question is not simply who has the most followers. It is which organizations are turning the content they already produce into the greatest measurable value."
The report uses publicly available Instagram data from the 2025-26 regular-season analysis window and applies the same methodology and economic assumptions across the analyzed cohort.
Dollar values are modeled media-equivalent estimates and do not represent sponsorship revenue, advertising revenue, verified reach or actual team expenditures.
