Florida: Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Three to the St. Augustine Airport Authority

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - In a press release issued today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of three individuals to the St. Augustine Airport Authority. The newly appointed members are Gerald Dedge, Mario Dipola, and Nick Primrose.

Dedge, a retired Captain from the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office and Command Chief Warrant Officer for the Florida National Guard, brings a wealth of experience to the authority. He is also actively involved in his community as the Vice President of the Florida National Guard Foundation and a member of the St. Johns County Veterans Council. Dedge is a veteran of both the United States Army and Florida National Guard and holds an associate degree from Vincennes University.

Mario Dipola, currently serving as the State Transportation Leader for North Florida at Gresham Smith, has been appointed to the authority as well. Prior to this role, Dipola worked as a District 2 Safety Engineer and Safety Services Engineer for the Florida Department of Transportation. He is also an active member of his community, serving on the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization Citizen's Advisory Committee. Dipola holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Florida.

The third appointee is Nick Primrose, who currently serves as Chief of Regulatory Compliance at Jacksonville Port Authority. With previous experience as Deputy General Counsel for the Executive Office of Governor and General Counsel for Florida Division of Emergency Management, Primrose brings valuable expertise to his new role on the authority. He is also actively involved in his community, serving on SelectFlorida Board of Directors and previously chairing the Florida Elections Commission. Primrose holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Lake Forest College, a master's degree in public management from DePaul University, and a juris doctor from Barry University.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate before they can officially join the St. Augustine Airport Authority. With their diverse backgrounds and experience, Dedge, Dipola, and Primrose are expected to bring valuable insights and contributions to the authority's operations.
