Growing regional fiber provider upgrades current CGNAT solution with cost-effective, high-performance 100G software solution on x86 servers.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Floridant -- netElastic, a leading innovator in software solutions for broadband ISPs, today announced that Clearnetworx, a locally owned fiber internet provider serving Colorado's Western Slope and surrounding regions, has selected netElastic's virtual Broadband Network Gateway (vBNG), Carrier-Grade NAT (CGNAT) and netVision management platform. The deployment upgrades current equipment and enables Clearnetworx to scale efficiently to 100G capacity while avoiding the high costs of traditional enterprise hardware and service contracts.
Background
Clearnetworx operates as a full-service fiber provider with in-house construction and engineering teams. The company is actively expanding its fiber footprint across Colorado's Western Slope, Southwest Colorado, and Northern New Mexico, including key markets in Grand Junction, Durango and Farmington. The network leverages Calix XGS-PON infrastructure with Sonar for billing and customer management.

More on The Floridant
After discovering netElastic through an online search, Clearnetworx evaluated the platform against alternatives including Cisco and Juniper. Clearnetworx selected netElastic's integrated vBNG, CGNAT and netVision solution to eliminate expensive proprietary hardware and ongoing service contracts.
The deployment runs on Dell XR11 servers purchased on the secondary market, chosen in part for their front-facing port design that simplifies rack operations. The netElastic system is now in production, handling CGNAT addressing and IPv6 dual-stack integration for subscribers, with additional units ready for deployment as the network expands.
Results & Benefits
netElastic's software-based platform delivers carrier-grade performance on standard x86 servers, significantly lowering total cost of ownership compared with traditional hardware solutions. Clearnetworx benefits from streamlined subscriber management, efficient IPv4 conservation through CGNAT, seamless IPv6 support, and responsive technical support that far exceeds the experience typically offered by major hardware vendors. The solution positions Clearnetworx to scale reliably as its network continues to grow across multiple markets.

"We needed a solution that could scale with our fiber expansion without locking us into costly vendor contracts," said Lanham Rattan, Network Engineer at Clearnetworx. "netElastic's vBNG, CGNAT and netVision give us the performance and operational simplicity we require on standard x86 servers. The technical support has been outstanding and far more responsive than what we've experienced with major hardware vendors. The platform coexists cleanly with our existing Calix and Sonar environment as we push toward 25,000 subscribers."
"Clearnetworx exemplifies the innovative regional fiber providers that are transforming broadband access in communities across the U.S.," said Weixiao Liu, CEO and CTO of netElastic. "By choosing our software-based vBNG, CGNAT and netVision platform, they gain carrier-grade capabilities, lower total cost of ownership and the agility to expand rapidly on commodity hardware. We are proud to support Clearnetworx as they deliver high-quality fiber connectivity throughout Colorado's Western Slope and beyond."
