BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Floridant -- Wonder Gardens has hired Michelle Stromberg Ohlhaber as Development and Marketing Manager to support fundraising efforts, grant-writing, sponsorships, marketing and media relations.
Stromberg Ohlhaber relocated to the Sunshine State after spending more than 30 years living and working in the Windy City. In various roles throughout her career, she has served as a CEO, a publisher and executive director for a nonprofit foundation, and has led fundraising and marketing campaigns, managed large-scale corporate and fundraising events and more. Her most recent roles include senior director of philanthropy at Mason Classical Academy in Naples, director of marketing and public relations at Windy City Limousine & Bus Worldwide, and executive director of Chicago Gateway Green.
Stromberg Ohlhaber joins the Wonder Gardens as the organization embarks on a new vision and capital campaign that will preserve its historic charm, while embracing modern innovations that will provide an enhanced guest experience and ensure the wellbeing of its resident animals.

"I'm so happy to be in sunny Southwest Florida and working for an organization that I care deeply about," says Stromberg Ohlhaber. "There are many exciting projects and ideas already in the works for our master plan, Renew the Wonder, and I'm thrilled for the opportunity to help lead the way in this transformative time for the historic Wonder Gardens."
Stromberg Ohlhaber hit the ground running, playing a significant role in the success of the 8th Annual Enchanted Gala, the nonprofit's signature fundraising event in February, which raised support for master plan projects, including new habitats and educational opportunities.
"As we embark on a capital campaign to Renew the Wonder, this position is crucial for the success and future of the Wonder Gardens, and Michelle brings a wealth of experience in philanthropy, events, marketing and public relations to the organization," says Neil Anderson, CEO of Wonder Gardens. "We're excited to have Michelle on the team and we're looking forward to many years of great success as we work collaboratively with our community to bring our new vision to the Wonder Gardens to life."
