FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce's Women in Business Committee will offer valuable insight on mentoring opportunities in the Greater Fort Myers area during its networking event on Wednesday, May 4 at Busey Bank in Fort Myers.
Welcoming five organizations from across Southwest Florida, the May program will showcase several opportunities for mentorships within each organization. Participating programs and respective representatives include Isis LaRose, Better Families executive director, and Vanessa Estrada, program administrator for Better Together; Jeff DiPascale, board chairman for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast; Leslie O'Halloran, mentor and volunteer program coordinator for Children's Network of Southwest Florida; Vanessa Santiago, education manager for Junior Achievement; and Alicia Miller, executive director of Our Mother's Home.
The networking event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4 at Busey Bank, located at 5246 Red Cedar Drive, Suite 101, in Fort Myers. Women In Business' Annual Sponsor is HBKS Wealth Advisors and HBK CPAs & Consultants.

The event's nonprofit spotlight is Our Mother's Home, a nonprofit organization that provides teen moms in foster care a safe and nurturing environment to stay with their children, learn life skills and finish their education. The transitional residence provides a unique service to empower young mothers in the foster care and human trafficking systems to break the cycle for themselves and their children.
The Women in Business program is $10 for Chamber members and $20 for future members. Admission includes one complimentary beverage. Attendees can register in advance at FortMyers.org (http://www.fortmyers.org/) or call 239-332-2930.

Part of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, the Women in Business committee is dedicated to helping women achieve their fullest professional and personal potential. A variety of networking and educational programs are offered throughout the year, typically the first Wednesday of every month from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
