You cannot have Gospel Music without Black History and You cannot have Black History without Gospel Music they go hand in hand.
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Floridant -- Gospel Music was created as a coping mechanism to deal with the circumstances the slaves found themselves in. They used their ability to sing and hum as a way of sending messages to one another and to confuse their slave masters.
In honor of celebrating Black History, the Old Dillard Foundation presented two music videos to celebrate the past while creating the present and building the future.
The gospel concert premiered on February 28, at 7pm featuring Ryneil Atkins and the Traveling QC's on www.facebook/odfhouse. Ryneil Atkins and the Traveling QC's are one of hottest gospel quartet groups in South Florida they will be performing songs that will have your heart jumping, your hands clapping and your feet stomping. The video production of "Hallelujah" premiered highlighted scenes: The Drummers Line, It Ain't So Amazing, Harriet Still Speaks and the Celebration of Freedom aired on February 27 at 7pm on www.facebook/odfhouse.
