South Florida – WDFL-TV announces the appointment of Dawn Watts as Chief Strategy Officer, advancing the station's commitment to strategic expansion, enterprise alignment, and long-term market leadership across South Florida.
Ms. Watts brings more than 20 years of executive experience spanning media measurement, global operations, enterprise transformation, and strategic growth architecture. Her appointment reflects WDFL's continued investment in data-informed programming, cross-platform monetization, and scalable operational strategy.
Prior to joining WDFL-TV, Ms. Watts held senior global leadership roles at Nielsen, the global authority in television and radio audience measurement, where she led international operations, consumer research methodology, and broadcast analytics initiatives supporting domestic and global markets. She began her media career at Scarborough Research, contributing to Media Rating Council-accredited local and national audience studies across more than 100 U.S. markets.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Ms. Watts will oversee enterprise-wide strategic planning, programming optimization, sponsorship integration, digital expansion, and cross-platform growth initiatives designed to strengthen WDFL's competitive positioning as South Florida prepares for increased regional and global visibility.
In addition to her corporate leadership, Ms. Watts serves on the Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development Advisory Board and is Chair of the Executive Board of the American Cancer Society in Broward County. She is Chief Executive Officer of DW Consultants and Founder of The Watts Foundation, advancing public-private collaboration and community engagement throughout Broward County. Ms. Watts is actively engaged with Junior Achievement of South Florida and is a member of the Circle of Wise Women in Education, reflecting her ongoing commitment to youth entrepreneurship, workforce development, and leadership advancement across South Florida.
