FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- Precision Healthcare Specialists has added Dr. Christopher DiBlasio, a board-certified urologist who offers compassionate, contemporary urologic care to male and female patients from offices in Bonita Springs and Port Charlotte.
DiBlasio has more than two decades of experience treating patients with a variety of urologic conditions. Passionate about the intersection of technology and treatment, DiBlasio developed an MRI fusion-guided platform for prostate cryoablation, which allows outpatient, incision-free and precise cancer treatment without the need for major surgery or radiation. The procedure minimizes potential risks, side effects and recovery time. He also performs TULSA-PRO, a radiation- and incision-free minimally invasive procedure that uses directional ultrasound to ablate diseased prostate tissue. Other minimally invasive procedures that DiBlasio provides are optilume for treating male urethral strictures and Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH), and Prostatic Urethral Lift (PUL) procedures to treat lower urinary tract symptoms.

He also has held multiple health care leadership roles, including positions as chief of urology at Huntington Hospital of Northwell Health, associate medical director of the Mount Sinai Doctors of Long Island consortium of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and division chair of urology for Optum ProHealth.
DiBlasio earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in pre-medicine/pre-medical studies and jazz performance from Fairfield University before pursuing a Doctor of Medicine program through St. George's University School of Medicine.
