JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Floridant -- The Urban Land Institute (ULI) of North Florida proudly announces Shad Khan as the District Council's 2026 Visionary Leader. The award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution within the real estate industry and the community.
"Shad Khan is a visionary leader who has been instrumental in shaping a stronger, more connected community here in Jacksonville," said Aundra Wallace, JAXUSA Partnership President and the District Council's 2024 Visionary Leader. "His long-term commitment to our region is demonstrated through his bold vision that includes continued investment, responsible development and innovative land use. That vision is reflected in the transformative development helping to reshape and revitalize Downtown Jacksonville, from the Stadium of the Future to the Jacksonville Shipyards and beyond. Mr. Khan has made a lasting impact by driving economic growth and opportunity for Jacksonville, and he is truly deserving of the ULI Visionary Leader Award."

Khan is the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars and is being recognized for his vision and leadership in transforming downtown Jacksonville, including the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences, the Miller Electric Center training facility, the Jaguars' business headquarters, the stadium redevelopment, and surrounding area improvements.

The ULI North Florida Awards for Excellence recognizes outstanding real estate projects and organizations throughout the ULI North Florida District Council that demonstrate excellence and best practices in the areas of planning, design, construction, management, financial viability and sustainability. The awards are competitively based and honor exceptional development projects that exemplify ULI North Florida's mission and values. Development teams receiving this prestigious award demonstrate innovation, responsible use of land and beneficial community impact. Award submissions will be reviewed by a panel of independent judges from the local and national development community.
