SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. - Floridant -- The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company continued its support of island-based nonprofits with its recent sponsorship of the Charitable Foundation of the Islands' second annual Volunteer Expo and the printing of the CFI Volunteer Directory. This collaboration is aimed at helping Sanibel and Captiva residents find meaningful ways to get involved in their community by volunteering.
The Volunteer Expo, held Jan. 16, provided a great opportunity for locals to connect with more than 40 island-based nonprofits and community groups in need of volunteer support. The newly printed Volunteer Directory serves as a valuable tool for those looking to contribute their time and skills to causes they care about.
CFI has been instrumental in bringing the community together, offering a variety of programs to help residents connect with nonprofits, including the Volunteer Expo. CFI also oversees initiatives such as the Leadership Sanibel-Captiva program and financial assistance programs that support local businesses as they recover and rebuild after recent hurricanes.
Jeff Muddell, MBA, CFP®, Sanibel president for The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, emphasized the importance of the partnership with CFI in helping the community thrive. "Supporting the Charitable Foundation of the Islands is a meaningful way for us to contribute to the wellbeing of our community," Muddell said. "By assisting CFI in connecting residents with local volunteer opportunities, we are helping build a stronger, more resilient island."
