Senior living center earns high performing status for both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- The Preserve is proud to announce that its skilled nursing care center has been named one of the 2025 Best Nursing Homes by U.S. News & World Report. The community earned a high performing rating in both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care, a distinction that places The Preserve in the top percentage of nursing facilities in Florida and nationwide.
"This recognition is a testament to the dedication, compassion, and clinical excellence our team brings to residents every day," said Claudia Salazar, executive director at The Preserve. "We are committed to making sure our residents experience faster recoveries, fewer hospital visits, person-centered care and a higher quality of daily life."
U.S. News awards the designation of Best Nursing Home only to those communities that satisfy their rigorous, data-driven standards. In 2025, ratings were determined by nurse staffing, patient outcomes and whether nursing home routines included steps known to be effective in avoiding harm and improving health.

To be recognized as one of the 2025 U.S. News Best Nursing Homes, a nursing home must have been "high performing" in short-term rehabilitation, long-term care or both. Out of the 14,832 nursing homes evaluated, 2,836 (19%) met those criteria, of which 2,152 were high performing in short-term rehabilitation, 1,327 were high performing in long-term care and 643 were high performing in both.
