Taylor Carpet One announces support of Edison Festival of Light

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- Taylor Carpet One has once again joined the Edison Festival of Light as a supporter of the iconic event. The festival takes place from Feb. 1 through Feb. 16 with the Grand Parade happening on Saturday, Feb. 15 in downtown Fort Myers from 7-11 p.m.

Taylor Carpet One has been involved with the festival for more than 20 years with the Taylor family personally a part of the event for over 60 years.

As a supporter, Taylor Carpet One will be involved in the Grand Parade, which features dazzling illuminated floats, marching bands and a wide array of community organizations. Taylor Carpet One will enter a float of its own as well.

The parade has long been a highlight of the festival, attracting both local families and visitors who gather to celebrate Thomas Edison's impact on the world and the region's creative spirit.

Lauren Taylor, Operations Manager at Taylor Carpet One, has been a participant in the parades, is currently a board member, a member of the parade staff, and was one of the first female section marshals in the parade. She is also going to be president of the 2026 Festival.

"The Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade is one of the largest nighttime parades in the country," said Taylor. "It attracts close to 250,000 spectators.
