ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - Floridant -- The Boardroom, a new surf-inspired coffee shop and cafe, has opened for the community with a laid-back space to enjoy specialty coffee, teas, and connection. Owned and operated by Salty Church, the space will also serve as Salty Church's gathering venue for midweek events, groups and overflow seating for Sunday services.
The community and public officials are invited to celebrate with a ribbon cutting on Feb. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., with the ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:00 a.m. The Boardroom will also host its grand opening, that is open to the community, Feb. 14 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring raffles and giveaways.
"The Boardroom is truly a ministry tool," said Robbie O'Brien, lead pastor of Salty Church. "Our vision is to be the preferred gathering place for community because our mission is to cultivate an environment that starts with coffee and leads to Jesus."
Robbie O'Brien recalls a moment from 19 years ago when he and his wife, Christie, noticed a construction project beginning next door to Salty Church. Christie, along with her small group, began praying over the unfinished building, confidently saying, "They're building that for us!" She would walk the block with her stroller full of little ones, praying that one day the entire street would be used to glorify God.

Nearly two decades later, that once-unfinished building is now home to The Boardroom — a tangible reminder of God's provision and the power of persistent prayer.
"I have been wanting to make this announcement for 19 years," O'Brien said. "And I'm excited to say that God has provided in incredible ways."
Decorated with surfboards and surf-inspired art, the shop is located just across the street from the beach — making it an easy stop whether guests are catching waves or catching up with friends. The Boardroom is designed as a relaxed space where the community can gather, connect and let conversations come to life over the perfect brew.
The shop features specialty coffee roasted exclusively for The Boardroom by local roastery Steel Oak. Branded merchandise and bagged coffee is also available for purchase. It will continue to grow into a full cafe - launching its signature waffles at the ribbon cutting and grand opening.
The Boardroom is located at 26 Bovard Ave., Ormond Beach, Fla. 32176 (The former LuLu's Oceanside Grill), and online at theboardroomcoffee.com. It is open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information about the opening, contact Salty Church Communications Director Madison Wooten at madison@salty.org.
