FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- Stevens Construction has started construction of a new 60,000-square-foot, two-story medical office building and ambulatory surgery center for Lee Health, located at 9450 HealthPark Circle in Fort Myers, announced Daniel Adams, Stevens Construction executive vice president and partner.
Located on the campus of Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida and HealthPark Medical Center, the project expands access to pediatric-focused care within one of the region's primary health care hubs.
Designed to support pediatric patients, families and Lee Health staff, the new building will feature a single main entrance allowing easy access for patients and families.
The first floor will house a pediatric surgery center, endoscopy suites and associated support spaces. The 30,000-square-foot second floor will include space for the graduate medical education program, which will include an expansive lobby, exam rooms, treatment rooms and additional patient care spaces, as well as classrooms and collaborative workspaces.
