CAPTIVA, Fla. - Floridant -- Sip, shop and celebrate the opening of South Seas' new and renovated retail offerings on Saturday, July 5 at The Shops at South Seas.

The public is invited to a Sip and Shop event from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on July 5 featuring all the redesigned and newly opened stores that make up The Shops at South Seas, including the brand-new Outfitters, South Seas Spirits, Starbucks, J McLaughlin, and Provisions. Families can enjoy face painting, treats for kids, live music, adult spirit samples and local food samples.

Opening July 4 weekend, Outfitters is a two-story retail shop offering premium sporting gear and upscale Island apparel.  Discover top-name sunglasses, designer swimsuits, quality footwear and comfortable attire perfect for island adventures. Outfitters will have something for everyone in the family, including your pup.

South Seas Spirits is a premier spirits store, featuring a curated selection of high-end wines, beer, liquors, mixers and more. The shop opened in the spring, conveniently located to enhance the island experience for South Seas guests and owners, as well as visitors to Captiva Island.

Provisions is South Seas' full-service gourmet market, stocked with specialty meats and cheeses, fresh produce, locally made items, gourmet snacks and more. Located across the parking lot from Starbucks, the deli at Provisions is a popular lunch spot, and it's a perfect place to grab a quick bite, like our famous Italian Hogie, and a cold drink for a day at the beach.

The Shops at South Seas are designed to offer a variety of stores that ensure the entire family has everything they need to enjoy a memorable visit to Captiva. More upscale retailers, including the stylish men's and women's clothing retailer J. McLaughlin, will join the mix this month as South Seas continues to reopen, providing an elevated shopping experience that perfectly complements the charm of island living.

Starbucks will also join in the celebration with new hours. Beginning July 1, enjoy your favorite Starbucks beverages daily from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
