AFGSC plays a vital role in the nation's defense, providing strategic deterrence, global strike capabilities, and combat support to U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) and other combatant commands. With more than 33,700 personnel across two numbered air forces, 12 wings, and multiple advanced weapon systems—including all USAF intercontinental ballistic missiles and bomber aircraft—AFGSC leads the charge in strategic innovation.
