Self Managing Grid™ and Assessment Completes Alpha Phase of Development

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Floridant -- Letting Go Café, Inc. announced today that its Self Managing Grid™ Assessment has successfully completed the alpha testing phase, marking a key milestone in the tool's development.

Launched in February 2025, the alpha test phase included participants from the U.S., Belgium, and Ethiopia. This confirmed early promise for the assessment, which is designed to help individuals and teams measure their ability to let go and manage change effectively.

The assessment is based on the Self Managing Grid™, a model that illustrates the four core choices people face almost every moment of the day: action, inaction, control, and lack of control. First introduced in Darren L. Johnson's 2005 book Letting Go of Stuff: Power Secrets to Simplify Your Life, the Grid has since been used with Darren's clients as a foundational framework for personal growth and performance improvement.

With the alpha phase now complete, the assessment is being prepared for beta testing. In this next stage, life coaches and other practitioners will offer the tool to clients and conduct post-assessment sessions. These sessions will include guided interpretation of results, data-driven profiles, and immediate action steps clients can take to strengthen their capacity for letting go and managing transitions.

Johnson also confirmed that Letting Go Café, Inc. has initiated the international patent process for the assessment. Future plans include licensing agreements with organizations and independent coaches who wish to integrate the Self Managing Grid™ and assessment into their client offerings.
