OAKLAND, Calif. - Floridant -- Self-eSTEM, a nonprofit organization dedicated to igniting Pride, Purpose, and Possibility for BIPOC girls and women in STEM, is proud to announce its 10th Anniversary Fundraiser Soirée! This monumental event will take place on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm at Block Community Hub, 1955 Broadway St., Oakland, celebrating a decade of transformative impact and inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders.
A Decade of Empowerment
For ten years, Self-eSTEM has been at the forefront of shaping brighter futures by providing over 2,000 girls with life-changing opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This landmark event will showcase the organization's rich legacy, with captivating stories, an Innovator Showcase, and the unveiling of Self-eSTEM's vision for the future. "Self-eSTEM was founded with the vision to inspire and empower young girls to see themselves as future leaders and innovators in STEM. Our journey over the last decade is a testament to the power of community and opportunity, and I couldn't be more excited for what the future holds as we continue to break barriers and spark dreams," says Founder/CEO Adamaka Ajaelo.

The event will also feature the Innovator Showcase, where alumni and emerging leaders will pitch groundbreaking ideas developed through Self-eSTEM's programs. This showcase will demonstrate the creativity and innovation cultivated through Self-eSTEM's Earlier STEM Immersion and Emerging STEM Leader programs.
