SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. - Floridant -- The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company has announced its support of the 36th Annual Sanibel Luminary Festival, a beloved tradition that has become a beacon of holiday cheer and community spirit for the island. The festival will take place on Friday, Dec. 6, on Sanibel and Saturday, Dec. 7, on Captiva, illuminating the streets with festive lights, music and the warmth of togetherness.
The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company will host a casual open house in the evening on Dec. 6, featuring a hot cocoa bar, refreshments and live music by A Cat Named Clark from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
In many ways, this year's Luminary Festival is a celebration not only of the season, but also of the resilience of residents in the face of adversity. Forces beyond our control, specifically Hurricanes Helene and Milton, threatened to take away the heart and spirit of this iconic celebration. Sanibel's community has risen above the challenges, united by a shared commitment to preserving the island's unique charm.

"This year, as we light the streets of the islands, we are reminded that while hurricanes may come and go, the strength and unity of our community will always prevail."
