Pikmykid Releases New Hands-Free Car Line Announcing for Parents

TAMPA, Fla. - Floridant -- Pikmykid, the leader in school safety and dismissal, announces a new parent app feature that promotes safer car lines.

Car lines can be chaotic and have safety incidents due to road rage, distracted driving, and unpredictable student behavior. With some schools hosting hundreds of parents and guardians in their car line each day, it's critical schools not only prioritize efficiency, but also safety.

With less device use in the car line, car lines can now run smoother and without distractions.

For schools already using Pikmykid, this new setting eliminates the need for parents to stop and press the announce button when they've entered the car line.

To activate this feature, the school designates a perimeter around the campus using a geofence. When a parent enters the geofence at the entrance of the car line, they are automatically announced as arrived in the system to signal the teacher to start the process of preparing and sending out their student.

With this 'auto-announce' feature, the parent no longer needs to touch their phone and ultimately allows the car line to move quicker.

This feature simplifies the task for dismissal coordinators by automatically arranging students in the correct order for dismissal, eliminating the need for manual entry of names or numbers. As parents are arranged in the order of their arrival at the school, they do not need to open the app.
