FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- Pace Center for Girls, Lee is bringing recycled fashion and fun to the stage with the return of its FUNky Fashion Show, to be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25 at the Moose Lodge #2199, located at 155 Santa Barbara Blvd. N. in Cape Coral.
The FUNky Fashion Show showcases one-of-a-kind fashions made entirely out of recycled and repurposed items. Pace Lee is looking for local fashionistas, artists and Lee County businesses with an eye for beauty to design these rare runway looks made completely from reused items like ribbons, soda can tabs, palm fronds, fishing net and more. Awards will be presented in three different categories: Runway Ready, Funkiest Fashion and People's Choice.
In addition to the show, guests can enjoy dinner provided by Personal Touch Catering, music by New Beginnings Events, cocktails, silent and live auctions, and prize drawings.
The FUNky Fashion Show supports Pace Lee in providing girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy. Pace programs are based on the belief that all girls and young women, regardless of race, ethnicity or socioeconomic status, should be uniquely cared for, supported and encouraged to become the best versions of themselves through a path of healing and recovery.
