2024 Well ~ The American Heart Association has recently recognized Nicklaus Children's Health System with Gold Level recognition in the 2024 Well-being Works Better™ Scorecard. This prestigious award represents the hospital's commitment to promoting the health and well-being of its workforce and community.
The Well-being Works Better™ Scorecard, built on the American Heart Association's century-long history of saving and improving lives, aims to help employers create a healthy and effective work environment. Organizations can earn recognition levels of Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum based on their adherence to the Association's science-backed recommended practices in areas such as health equity, burnout prevention, compensation and benefits, and more.
Nicklaus Children's Health System achieved Gold Level recognition in only its second year of participation in the Scorecard initiative. The hospital excelled in various areas such as communications, engagement, community partnerships, advocacy, health equity, and organizational well-being.
Kara Marante, Vice President and Chief People Officer for Nicklaus Children's Health System, expressed her pride in receiving this recognition. She stated that employee health and wellness are essential elements of their comprehensive approach towards promoting well-being.
