FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- NFL Hall-of-Famer Warren Sapp will be the guest speaker at Athletes Activating Champions and Empowerment's (AACE) next session of its Game Changers series. Session No. 2 of the free virtual Zoom series designed to inspire, support and guide middle- and high-school students and young athletes will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
Sapp was one of the most dominant defensive linemen in football history. He was a Super Bowl champion with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the 1999 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Sapp was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
Today, Sapp mentors college athletes as a senior quality control analyst on the defensive staff of the University of Colorado Buffaloes football team. Known for his honesty, intensity and resilience, he now focuses on leadership, discipline and growth on and off the field.
Game Changers offers students the chance to connect with athletes and leaders who share authentic stories of resilience, balance and personal growth. The goal is to provide relatable role models who can help students see the challenges they face in school, sports and life are not unique – and that there are proven ways to overcome them.
