PENSACOLA, Fla. - Floridant -- Energion Publications announces the December 28, 2020 release of Love Me to Life: Suicide Recovery at Church, now available in paperback as well as a variety of ebook formats.
This book represents both an important addition to the selection of books on ministry from Energion Publications and also for the church at large. It addresses an area in which many pastors, church leaders, and congregations struggle.
Most importantly for the mission of Energion Publications, it grows out of personal experience. That experience is in turn honed and focused through serious research conducted with academic rigor. Finally, it is expressed in a desire for loving service accompanied by a plan to carry out that service effectively.
Energion's mission statement centers around the words "educate," "energize," and "empower." This book fulfils all three of those goals. It provides the necessary information for those involved in caring ministries to understand the problems of suicide, whether for someone contemplating it or surviving it, for family members, for other loved ones and friends, and for a church congregation. It energizes by letting us know both the extent of the problem and the potential resources available to help us, combining this by centering our response in the message of the gospel. Finally, it empowers by giving us each the tools to constructively work with people in the context of our Christian community.

About the Book:
An unacknowledged crisis haunts the church as we fail to deal with the causes and aftermath of suicide and the stigma society often places on victims and their loved ones. How can we stand up for life and love these people as the Body of Christ?
In Love Me to Life, Veronica Sites responds from personal experience, serious research and training, and a biblical perspective. Combining these crucial elements, she presents a plan for responding with the gospel message as we live out the message of Jesus in our churches.
Crucial to this plan is involving leaders, but also in educating and empowering all members to understand and positively impact those in need of support. In support of this, she provides detailed information on the situation as we find it in most churches. She then looks at scripture for guidance in how we should deal with those who most need our support and sometimes active intervention.
