WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Floridant -- WEST PALM BEACH, FL - In an unprecedented civil action, four mothers have united to file a Joint Civil Rights Discrimination Complaint with the new Attorney General of the State of Florida against Palm Beach Florida Judge Darren Dunifon Shull, citing a pattern of gender discrimination, bias, and retaliation against women.
The Complainants together, attest to being victims of gender discriminatory practices, retaliation measures, and due process violations, in what is an established pattern of bias, gender discrimination, and retaliation against women by Mr. Shull, showing a pattern of conduct which is in violation of the Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution. "We sought refuge with the family courts, only to be ignored, beaten down, insulted, humiliated, threatened, retaliated against, and our children's well-being and safety completely disregarded," stated Nanea Marcial, spokesperson for the four mothers comprised of herself, Renee Weaver, Angela Bentrim, and Andrea Spleha.

According to the Complaint, in his capacity as a State Officer in receipt of Federal funding tax dollars, Mr. Shull's pattern of gender discrimination against women warrants immediate intervention and action by the Florida Attorney General and the Florida Commission on Human Relations. As recipients of federal funding, public officials and institutions are legally obligated to uphold the principles of fairness and equality. Therefore, in his capacity as a State Officer in receipt of Federal funding tax dollars, Mr. Shull's pattern of gender discrimination against women warrants immediate intervention and action by the Florida Attorney General and the Florida Commission on Human Relations, it further states. "We will continue to take all necessary actions, including escalation to the federal level, should this pattern of discrimination and abuse fail to be properly addressed at the state level," stated Marcial.
