The Palm Beach Gardens Historical Society is inviting residents and history buffs to a free OPEN HOUSE. Among the fascinating items on public display will be artifacts from the 1960s to now, photographs from the city's earliest days, historical aerials, John D. MacArthur memorabilia, and more.
WHEN:
This Sunday, April 19, from 1 to 3 pm.
WHERE:
The Palm Beach Gardens Historical Society is located at the Northcorp Corporate Center (the old RCA headquarters) at 3910 RCA Blvd. in Palm Beach Gardens 33410.
WHY:
This Open House is the perfect opportunity for friends and neighbors to come together, swap precious memories, and share personal stories, artifacts, photos, school yearbooks, and fun and familial anecdotes. Refreshments and cookies will be served.

"Although we are a relatively young municipality at 67, it is important to preserve the history and stories of the hundreds of thousands of people that have lived and worked in our unique city. Many people are surprised to hear that Palm Beach Gardens even has a Historical Society," says Ed Dooley, the Historical Society's vice chair and archivist.

From I-95, go east on PGA Blvd., turn right after the gas station at RCA Blvd., pass the Marriott Hotel on the right, and turn left at the new traffic circle, then enter the first parking lot on the right.

Since 2008, the purpose of the Palm Beach Gardens Historical Society is to collect, preserve, and share the rich history of the City of Palm Beach Gardens for the education and enjoyment of current and future generations. Available for purchase is the book Images of America: Palm Beach Gardens, which is filled with images and information capturing the people, places, and events that developed the rich history of the city since the 1950s.
