FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - Floridant -- Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach invites guests and the local community to kick off summer with a full slate of Memorial Day weekend promotions, events and live entertainment honoring both relaxation and remembrance.

In recognition of Memorial Day, the resort is offering a Military, First Responder and Government Discount. Eligible guests can enjoy up to 35% off a stay. Once at the resort, guests will find a vibrant mix of island-style entertainment, relaxation and Memorial Day weekend festivities.

Throughout the weekend, guests can take advantage of day passes and AfterGlow access, along with live DJ performances at Fins Up! Beach Club, creating the perfect setting to soak up the sun and celebrate the holiday along the Gulf.

On Memorial Day morning, Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach will host a Murph Challenge, organized and led by Hammerhead Gym. The workout will take place on the resort's Sunset Terrace overlooking the Gulf and serves as a tribute to First Lt. Michael Murphy.

The Murph workout includes a one-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats and a final one-mile run. Modifications are welcome, making the event accessible to participants of all fitness levels.
