Owner Michelle Currie talks about the joys of papercrafting in recent interview
PALMETTO, Fla. - Floridant -- An interview with Pink and Main Owner and Creative Director Michelle Currie is now available in the December 2024 issue of SRQ Magazine, a prominent Sarasota, Florida, periodical.
The article "Well-Crafted - Pink and Main is Personalizing Papercrafting in Palmetto" by Kate Wight highlights the joys of papercrafting complete with photos of Currie at work, the company's handmade cards and the Pink and Main shop in Palmetto, Florida, by photographer Wes Roberts.
Michelle tells SRQ, "In this day and age ...making a card is a simple way to let someone know you're thinking about them. ... You get to see the joy when you give it to someone and tell them you made it for them."
Currie was interviewed for the piece by Wight a couple of months earlier. "It was my first interview with a magazine outside of the papercrafting industry," relates Currie. "I was a bit nervous and wanted to make sure to convey to the public the fun, warmth and love that stamping and cardmaking crafters derive from creating handmade cards to share with family, friends and co-workers."

Pink and Main, a growing international papercrafting, stamping and cardmaking business, was also recently in the spotlight when Currie was interviewed for the popular Hanging with Hero podcast series along with fellow craft artist and owner Christopher Alan of Brutus Monroe. The podcast interview is part of Hero Arts' 50th anniversary celebration.
Currie's love of crafting began as a child – a hobby she parlayed into a full-blown business called Pink and Main in 2014.
