BOCA RATON, Fla. - Floridant -- (West Palm Beach, FL – February 2, 2026) The League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County (LWVPBC) is inviting interested members and supporters to the next information-packed Hot Topic Luncheon.
Wednesday, February 18 / 11 am to 1 pm
Defending Democracy in the Courts
Barbara Pariente, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Florida, will give a presentation about the current issues in Florida and Federal courts, with a focus on cases that involve voting rights and principles of democracy. She spent 21 years as a Supreme Court Justice where she worked to improve methods for handling cases involving families and children in the courts and is a founding member of the Palm Beach County Association for Women Lawyers.

+ $45 for LWVPBC members; $50 for nonmembers
