FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- Knights of Columbus (KofC) Council 13483 at Saint Cecilia has opened registration for its annual "FORE" Our Community Golf Tournament in North Fort Myers. Proceeds from the event will help provide local children with scholarships to attend the early learning program at Child Care of Southwest Florida (CCSWFL).

The four-person scramble charity golf tournament features breakfast, a round of golf, an awards luncheon, a goody bag, and a silent auction and raffle. This year's tournament is being held Saturday, Sept. 28 at Magnolia Landing Golf & Country Club, a semi-private 18-hole course designed by renowned architect Gordon G. Lewis that meanders through natural pine forests and oak groves.

"We are honored to be the primary beneficiary of this year's golf tournament, which will raise crucial funds for deserving children in their most formative years of development," said Chris Hansen, CEO of Child Care of Southwest Florida. "We recognize that not all children in Southwest Florida have the same educational opportunities. With 40% of proceeds benefitting our learning centers, we can help provide scholarships to working parents who might not otherwise be able to afford a high-quality early childhood education program."
