~ Jacksonville, FL - As the city prepares to honor and remember those who have served in the armed forces, several city offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, November 11th. The closures include City Hall at St. James, the Ed Ball Building, the Jake M. Godbold City Hall Annex, and the Yates Building. These buildings house various government offices such as the Office of the Tax Collector and the Office of the Property Appraiser.

In addition to these closures, other government buildings that will be closed include the Duval County Courthouse, Supervisor of Elections main office, Municipal Code Compliance Division, Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department administrative offices, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department offices, and all community and senior centers managed by the department.

The Tillie K. Fowler Regional Park Nature Center will also be closed on Monday. Other facilities that will not be open to visitors include the Victim Services Center, Kids Hope Alliance office, Social Service Division Emergency Assistance office, Right-of-Way and Stormwater Management Division administrative offices, Mowing and Landscape Maintenance Division administrative offices, Solid Waste Division administrative offices, Household Hazardous Waste Facility, The Ritz Theatre & Museum, Cecil Gym and Fitness Center.

However, there will be no change in garbage collection services on Monday. The 630-CITY Customer Service Center will also be closed from Saturday until Tuesday morning. Customers can still request city services online during this time.

All public libraries in Jacksonville will also be closed on Monday in observance of Veterans Day. However, tennis enthusiasts can still enjoy a game at Boone Park facility from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., while all other tennis centers will remain closed for the day.

For those planning to spend some time outdoors on Veterans Day at Huguenot Memorial Park or Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park should take note of their operating hours. Huguenot Memorial Park will open at 6 a.m. for park day users, annual pass holders, and early bird ticket holders. All day use visitors must exit the park by 6 p.m., while campground visitors can stay until 10 p.m. if they purchase a visitor's pass before 5 p.m.

Similarly, Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park will open at 6 a.m. for annual pass and early bird ticket holders, while park day-users and campground visitors can enter from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. All visitors must leave the park by 6 p.m., except for permitted campers and their authorized visitors with passes.

Camping reservations close at 6 p.m. daily, and only campers with prepaid reservations can enter the park from 6 to 9 p.m. Those without prepaid passes will not be admitted after 5:30 p.m., and all campers must check in by 9 p.m.

As the city takes a day to honor those who have served our country, it is important to note that some services may be affected by these closures. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and utilize online services during this time.
