Miami's historic Villa Paula presents an art exhibition featuring an outstanding showcase of four renowned Miami artists with a special tribute to Purvis Young by the Purvis Young Foundation.
MIAMI - Floridant -- South Florida collectors and art aficionados will experience an art exhibition at Miami's historic Villa Paula featuring four contemporary visual artists Joe Chirichigno, Mark Cherry, Thomas Kachian, and Martyn Quinn. The exhibition opens on Saturday, April 1st from 6 – 10:30pm, Miami's denizens of art and culture are cordially invited to attend the Opening Reception of this very special art exhibition at the historic Villa Paula 'the Jewel of Miami' featuring four incredible Miami artists Joe Chirichigno, Mark Cherry, Thomas Kachian and Martyn Quinn with a special tribute to Purvis Young by the Purvis Young Foundation. ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Joe Chirichigno is a consummate artist, figurative realist, and fine portrait artist. He was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, USA. Joe studied fine art and visual communications at the Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design under the instruction of master figure artist Phillip J. Steele. Upon completing his studies, he served a lengthy internship to renowned commercial illustrator Robert A. Clayton. Joe relocated to south Florida in 2000 to be a part of the emerging Miami fine art scene.
Mark Cherry was born in Brooklyn, NY, artist Mark Cherry moved to Miami in 1984 where he established a reputation for work that reflects a fertile imagination and bold illumination. Essentially self-taught, he embraces painting as a means of expressing an idealized world view of varied possibilities. His paintings often deal with emotional realities, as reflected through daring and intriguing visual possibilities. His bold strokes and colorful palette remind many of Art Brut, but Cherry has also created his own signature style that South Florida art lovers have come to recognize and enjoy.

Thomas Kachian is an accomplished painter from Miami Beach, Florida. He has exhibited his artwork during Miami Art Week at art basel showcases and is recognized for his landscape scenes, nature inspired art, still lifes and drawings. He is known best in Miami for his 2011, 80' x 11' wall mural called 'Beach' in Wynwood on 25th Street, inspired by his studies of artists who do large undertakings, such Diego Rivera and Paul Gauguin.
Martyn Quinn is a fine artist, painter and sculptor based out of Midtown Miami. He was born in Colombia, and has resided in Miami, Florida since 2000 exhibiting in group and solo shows. He creates classical style murals, ceilings and domes, as well as figurative sculptural work. Quinn is also a professional airbrush iIlustrator and an art instructor at ARTDQUINN Studio in South Florida.
