Pedretti will oversee grant activities that support increased COVID-19 testing and education throughout Collier County
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- Julie Pedretti, APR, FACHE, has joined Healthcare Network as the new COVID-19 community relations director. The position is funded by a federal grant awarded to the organization by Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). Pedretti will be responsible for directing grant activities that support increased COVID-19 testing and education throughout Collier County.
Pedretti brings tremendous skill and knowledge to the role with more than 25 years of healthcare marketing, communications and administration experience.
In 2012, Pedretti relocated to Southwest Florida from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and held marketing roles with Lee Health and NCH Healthcare System. In 2017, she joined Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami as community relations director for Southwest Florida where she was responsible for creating awareness and raising funds for the pediatric hospital.

"Julie brings a breadth of experience in healthcare communications and relationship-building that will provide us with the leadership we need to expand COVID-19 testing, education and community outreach," said Dr. Emily Ptaszek president and CEO of Healthcare Network. "To ensure the health and safety of our community during the pandemic, we must be diligent in planning for and executing ongoing targeted testing and education programs."
Pedretti has been an active member of the community since her move to Naples eight years ago. She is president of the Press Club of Southwest Florida (formerly the Naples Press Club), a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and of Rotary Club of Naples, and immediate past president of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. Pedretti is Accredited in Public Relations and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She received a bachelor's degree in public administration from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, a master's degree in urban affairs and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
