FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of its 2023 Golf Classic. The tournament took place Oct. 20 at Eagle Ridge Golf Club.
Over 140 local business leaders gathered for a full afternoon of golfing and networking, tasty food and good times. The event featured "Taste of the Chamber," where local member restaurants were set up around the golf course offering delicious samples of their specialties.
This year, Southern Oak Wealth Management took first place with players Bryan Blackwell, Patrick Crawford, Jake Arden and Miles Nixon. Florida SouthWestern State College came in second place with players Matt Karastamatis, Gyles Robin, Kevin Mixon and JR Gibbs. Florida Gulf Coast University's team came in third with players Dr. Shelton Weeks, Steve Fraser, Tara McKenna and Declan McCarthy.
The presenting sponsors included Sanibel Captiva Community Bank, B2 Technology Solutions and Florida Gulf Coast University. The Golf Cart Sponsor was Teco Peoples Gas and the Green Jacket and Tumbler Sponsor was Southern Oak Wealth Management. Other event sponsors included Best Home Services, Coca Cola Beverages Florida, Crowne Plaza, Day Adjusting & Consulting, Floor & Décor, Florida Gulf Coast University's Lutgert College of Business, Five County Insurance, Global HR Research, Hotwire, Lamar Advertising, Legacy Restoration, Scanlon Auto Group, Schultz Air Conditioning, Solar First, Solomon & Hoover, Suncoast Beverages, Suncoast Credit Union and SWFL Marketing Group.
