TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed three individuals to the Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida. Kae Moore has been named as the new Chair, while Sean Kempton and Jamie Merchant will serve as members of the coalition.
Moore, who currently works as a full-time consultant, is known for his active involvement in the community. He has previously held positions such as President of the Bonita Springs Rotary Club and Vice President of the Southwest Florida YMCA. Moore also served as Campaign Director for Friends of Lovers Key State Park. He holds a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Evansville and a master's degree in education from Miami University.
Kempton, who is currently the Director of Sales and Project Manager for Gulf Coast Aluminum, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He previously served as Deputy Campaign Manager for Casey Askar for Congress. Kempton holds a bachelor's degree in business and managerial economics from Florida Gulf Coast University.

Merchant, who serves as the Manager of Payroll Reporting, Inc., is also an active member of her community. She is a member of the Lee County School District Advisory Council and volunteers her time with the Florida Department of Education's Library Media and Instructional Material Workgroup. Merchant also serves as team Chair for the Florida Citizens Alliance.
The appointments made by Governor DeSantis reflect his commitment to selecting highly qualified individuals to serve on important committees such as the Early Learning Coalition. These three individuals bring diverse backgrounds and experiences that will contribute to the success of this coalition in providing quality early learning opportunities for children in Southwest Florida.
