One of the key components of this initiative is Activate Hope, which serves as the emergency response arm for Hope Florida. This program brings together resources from private sector companies, non-profits, and government agencies to assist Floridians in getting back on their feet after a disaster. Currently, Activate Hope is providing aid in areas such as food assistance, household goods, home repairs, and other necessary resources following Hurricane Helene.
Volunteer Florida is responsible for coordinating volunteerism and community service efforts throughout the state. Established in 1994 as the Florida Commission on Community Service, Volunteer Florida also administers national service programs and leads disaster recovery efforts in impacted communities.
