About $5,600 in donations and gifts were received at the annual event
NAPLES, Fla. - Floridant -- The Conservancy of Southwest Florida hosted a virtual baby shower throughout June and an in-person baby shower event on June 1. The nonprofit received donations totaling $1,600 and gift donations from Amazon and Chewy wish lists totaling around $4,000.
"Thanks to the public's generous support, the von Arx Wildlife Hospital can continue to care for the hospital's youngest, most delicate patients," said Joanna Fitzgerald, director of the von Arx Wildlife Hospital. "We also thank the multiple vendors who participated in the baby shower event."
In 2023, over half of the animals admitted to the von Arx Wildlife Hospital at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida for the entire year came in between April and August. Supported by caring individuals, the wildlife hospital team works tirelessly to care for and ease the suffering these precious baby wild animals endure.
