The gift will help fund the planned pediatric surgery center

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church has pledged $250,000 to Golisano Children's Hospital in support of the new pediatric surgery center. This generous contribution underscores the church's dedication to improving the lives of children and families throughout Southwest Florida.

The surgery center will relocate 80% of outpatient procedures currently performed at HealthPark Medical Center, freeing up space for urgent and complex surgeries like pediatric neurosurgery and trauma care. Designed as a dedicated hub for specialized pediatric surgical care, the center will provide a calm, secure environment where children and their families feel welcome and supported.

"We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church," said Katy Martinez, senior director of development for Lee Health Foundation. "Their commitment to supporting the surgery center demonstrates the power of community partnerships in transforming healthcare for children in our region."
