FORT MYERS, Fla. - Floridant -- Fort Myers Brewing Company is celebrating St. Patrick's Day from noon to 11 p.m. on Friday, March 17 featuring specialty beer releases, food and live music.
Fort Myers Brewing is releasing specialty brews to celebrate the occasion, including an Irish Red Ale, Turn the Lights Stout and a festive green beer slushie. The Irish Red Ale is a balanced, easy-drinking beer with a moderate malt character that is full of caramel and toasted notes. The deep reddish-copper color comes from both crystal malt and a small dose of highly kilned grain. Turn the Lights Stout is a dry Irish stout, a dark beer with a dry-roasted character thanks to the use of coffee-like roasted barley and a moderate degree of roasted malt aromas.
Throughout the day, guests can enjoy dishes from three local food trucks including Wicked Streatery starting at 2 p.m. and joined by Vesuvius Wood Fired Pizza and Smokin' Crow's BBQ starting at 4 p.m.
The event will include festive live performances by Irish Cream at 4 p.m., followed by Celtic Stew at 8 p.m.
The St. Patrick's Day festivities will be held at Fort Myers Brewing Company, 12811 Commerce Lakes Drive, Suite 28, in Fort Myers. For more information, visit Facebook.com/FMBrew (https://www.facebook.com/FMBrew) or call 239-313-6576.
