SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. - Floridant -- Florida Trust Wealth Management proudly served as a "Magical Winter Wonderland" sponsor for Community Housing & Resources (CHR) 2025 Festival of Trees, which took place the week before Thanksgiving at Sanibel Community House.
The beloved annual fundraiser brought the community together to celebrate the start of the holiday season while raising support for CHR's mission to provide and sustain affordable housing for island residents — including seniors, families and essential workers. Guests enjoyed 20 beautifully decorated trees and 18 wreaths, spirited bidding during both live and silent auctions and a paddle raise supporting CHR's Riverview housing project.
The Riverview housing project will consist of 15 one bedroom, one bath apartments when completed.
Al Hanser, founder and chairman of Florida Trust Wealth Management, shared his appreciation for CHR's role in the community. "CHR is a cornerstone of Sanibel and Captiva's long-term strength," he said. "We were honored to support an organization that provides stability and opportunity for the people who make our islands thrive."

"CHR's work is invaluable, and what a great event this is for our community," commented Jeff Muddell, Sanibel–Captiva president of Florida Trust. "The Festival of Trees brings us together for a joyful cause, and we were proud to continue our partnership to help ensure accessible housing for those who serve our islands every day."
This year's festivities began with a well-attended Community Day on November 21, where families enjoyed arts and crafts, refreshments, children's activities and visits with Santa and the Grinch. The weekend-long celebration created memorable moments for residents and visitors alike while supporting an essential community mission.
