~ On Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025, Governor Ron DeSantis issued a statement directing the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff in honor of Sergeant Terri Sweeting-Mashkow. The 47-year-old sergeant from the Indian River County Sheriff's Office was tragically killed in the line of duty on Friday, November 21st.
