Ocala, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced a vaccination site at On Top of the World Retirement Community in Marion County. The site will provide 1,100 Pfizer vaccines per day, totaling 3,300 vaccines to seniors age 65 and older over the next three days.

As of March 4, Florida has vaccinated 3.3 million people — 2.5 million of which are seniors. Florida is rapidly closing in on vaccinating 60% of our total senior population due to our Seniors First strategy.

Further, the state of Florida has worked with the faith-based community to administer the vaccine at 70 events in underserved communities, administering more than 55,000 doses of vaccine.
