Florida: ICYMI: Governor Ron DeSantis Launches Operation Blue Ridge in North Carolina and Tennessee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Governor Ron DeSantis has announced the launch of Operation Blue Ridge, a multi-state response effort to aid North Carolina and Tennessee in their recovery from Hurricane Helene. The operation, which was unveiled yesterday, will involve various agencies such as the Florida Division of Emergency Management, Florida State Guard, Florida National Guard, Florida Department of Transportation, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, a Florida Law Enforcement Coordination Task Force, and a dedicated Law Enforcement Strike Team.

Governor DeSantis has taken charge in leading Operation Blue Ridge and is also providing assistance to Floridians who are seeking rescue in Western North Carolina. Those in need of help are encouraged to fill out a form at FloridaDisaster.org/OperationBlueRidge.

This initiative has been ongoing since September 29th when it was first announced through a press release. Updates have also been shared through posts by the Florida National Guard on September 29th and by FLSERT and FWC on September 30th. The coordinated efforts of Operation Blue Ridge aim to provide much-needed support to those affected by Hurricane Helene in neighboring states.
