TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - In a statement released today, Governor Ron DeSantis has announced the reappointment of Bret Jones and Timothy Morris to the Lake-Sumter State College District Board of Trustees. Both Jones and Morris have been active members of their community and have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills in their respective fields.
Jones, who currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Attorney at the Law Offices of Bret Jones, P.A., brings a wealth of experience to the board. He is also known for his involvement in various community organizations, including his role as Chairman of The Lake 100 and his previous service on the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation. Jones holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Webber International University and a juris doctor from the University of Florida.

Morris, Vice President of Ernie Morris Enterprises, Inc., has also been reappointed to the board. He is currently serving as a Lake County Commissioner for District 5 and has previously served on the Lake County Planning & Zoning Board. Morris is an alumnus of Lake-Sumter State College, having earned his associate degree from the institution.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate. The Governor's decision to reappoint both Jones and Morris reflects their dedication to serving their community and their commitment to higher education.
