TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ In a press release issued today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of two new judges to Florida's judicial system. Mark Robens, a resident of Dade City, has been selected to serve as a Judge on the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court. Robens brings a wealth of experience to the position, having worked as a Partner at Stichter, Riedel, Blain & Postler, PA since 2022 and at the same firm since 2014. He holds a bachelor's degree from St. John Vianney College Seminary and a juris doctor from Stetson University.

Robens' appointment fills the vacancy left by the retirement of Judge Stearns. The second appointment announced by Governor DeSantis is Marlon Weiss, who will serve as a Judge on the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court. Weiss, who hails from Hollywood, has been a Partner at Armstrong Teasdale, LLP since 2021 and previously served as a Law Clerk for the U.S. District Court.

Weiss earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and his juris doctor from Emory University. He will be filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Chief Judge Tuter. These appointments are expected to bring valuable expertise and knowledge to Florida's judicial system.
