TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed three individuals to Florida's Judicial Nominating Commissions. These appointments aim to fill vacancies and ensure the fair and efficient selection of judges in the state.

Tara Tedrow, a shareholder at Lowndes Law, has been appointed to the Sixth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission. With a bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University and a juris doctorate from the University of Florida, Tedrow brings a wealth of legal knowledge and experience to her new role. She will serve a term ending on July 1, 2027.

Joining her is Amy Bender, who has been appointed to the First Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Bender currently serves as senior counsel and assistant general counsel at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and a juris doctorate from the University of Georgia. Her term will also end on July 1, 2027.
