Florida: Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Two to the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Stephanie Kopelousos and Joe Nunziata to the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

Kopelousos, who currently serves as the District Administrator of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She previously held positions such as Director of Legislative & Intergovernment Affairs for the Executive Office of Governor Ron DeSantis and County Manager for Clay County Board of County Commissioners. In 2007, she was also appointed as the Secretary of the Florida Department of Transportation. Kopelousos holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Alabama.

Joining Kopelousos on the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority is Joe Nunziata, Co-Chief Executive Officer of FBC Mortgage, LLC. Nunziata is an active member in his community and serves on various boards including the FBC Mortgage Charitable Foundation, Seminole and Orange County Sheriff Foundations, and Advent Hospital Foundation. He was recognized as the 2015 "Executive of the Year" by the Orlando Business Journal and received the Ernst & Young "Entrepreneur of the Year" Award in 2017. Nunziata earned his bachelor's degree in business from the University of South Florida.

Both Kopelousos and Nunziata bring a diverse set of skills and experiences to their new roles at Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. Their appointments are eagerly awaited by many and will be subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
