TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Michael Caschette and Eileen LaMarca to the Broward College District Board of Trustees. Caschette, who holds a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's degree in business administration from Florida International University, is the Founder and Registered Nurse of KIDS 1st Urgent Care. He also has previous experience as the Director of Emergency Services at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.

LaMarca, on the other hand, brings her expertise as the Vice President of Development for the LaMarca Group to the board. She has also been recognized for her contributions to Broward County, being listed among the Top 100 Outstanding Women by the Boys and Girls Clubs. LaMarca holds an associate degree from Palm Beach State College.
These appointments are still subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate. Once confirmed, Caschette and LaMarca will join the Broward College District Board of Trustees in their efforts to support and enhance education in their community.
